Today’s Special: Queen of Tarts Lemon Tart via Culina Mill Creek
I LOVE lemon. It’s in my genes. My Mom loved lemon, and even my little tiger cub likes to suck on a lemon with no sign of sour face. In cakes, pies, drinks. Yes, please.
The Queen of Tarts Lemon Tart is by far my favourite lemony delight in the city. Happily it can be found all over town at the many Culina outposts, at Queen of Tarts cafe, and to take home at the Downtown Farmer’s Market. Beautiful, smooth, tart lemon curd in a perfectly buttery and flaky shell. Sometimes served with whip. Sometimes garnished with meringue. Often accompanied by a red berry coulis. Always a perfect ending.
