Today’s Special: The Double Caramel Magnum Bar

A treat straight from the grocery store freezer doesn’t usually float my boat, but holy Hannah, that’s a damn good ice cream bar. My usual complaints about the whole “chocolate covered frozen ice cream treat thing” are that the chocolate is brittle and waxy, and the ice cream is of poor quality, which equals yuck. Until now.

The Belgian dark chocolate coating is perfect. Just thin enough to melt in your mouth and taste of proper chocolate. The ice cream is delicious, creamy, vanilla bean flecked perfection. And the caramel…sweet gooey caramel, is gushing and ample. Now I have no idea how that caramel is so oozy straight from the freezer, and I probably don’t want to know, but I likey. It’s like a good caramel sundae on a stick. Bonjour Magnum. Pleased to make your acquaintance.
