Today’s Special: Tacos Rajas con Crema at Tres Carnales Taqueria
I could not possibly be more excited about the opening of Tres Carnales Taqueria. After months of patiently waiting, and reading, and watching the labour of love come together, the day arrived. I’m ashamed that it took me over a week to make my way there. Good Mexican food presses all my happy food buttons. Citrus. Chile. Cilantro. Tomato. Slow braised meat in all varieties. Freshness. Goodness on a soft corn tortilla, or in this case two.
Four tacos per order + four people = we tried one of every taco on the menu. ALL delicious. All accompanied by salsas and sauces made just for each selection. The sweet corn, bite of chile, and creaminess of the Tacos Rajas con Crema, and the perfectly slow braised pork and salsa verde of the Tacos Carnitas, were my favorites…though I would happily eat a plate (or two) of every option on the menu.
