Today’s Special: Amaro Nonino at Corso 32
Cream and I were lucky enough to finish the last of this pretty bottle of Amaro at the end of our gorgeous meal at Corso 32 this summer. Amaro means “bitter” in Italian, and this delicate and earthy herbal liqueur is perfect for sipping and savouring. It’s the kind of old world goodness that only comes with centuries of perfecting. If the nuns at the Santa Maria Novella Farmacia had started making liqueur for Catherine de’ Medici instead of perfect perfume, I’m pretty sure it would taste like Amaro Nonino. Cin cin!
