The internet is a great source for all things foodie, and we’re constantly bookmarking, starring, and emailing intriguing recipes, food porn, and inspiration. Here’s a selection of clippings we think are worth checking out.
These buttermilk scones have me all hot and bothered.
DIY brown sugar? Here’s how.
Sometimes, non-alcoholic beverages are needed and wanted. This list of DIY sodas (no high-fructose corn syrup!) looks like a good place to start.
Next time you make guacamole, don’t just mix all the ingredients at once. Try this technique, which involves letting the garlic hang out in the lime juice for a bit.

If I inspired you to make your own ricotta, perhaps you should use it to make these lemon ricotta cookies?

Oh my my…..
I’m looking for a good recipe to bring to a set of brand new parents and was thinking blueberry muffins (since they’re freezable and already pre-portioned and easy to eat) would be a good option, but now I want to try these scones! They look great.

The scones are all of what you mentioned plus full of BUTTER. You could complete a gift basket with some local preserves and Devonshire cream. Very fitting for a Royal weekend as well.

By the way, I made this last night and sure enough, the recipe amount is yooooooge. 4.75 cups of flour? Holy crapoly. They did come out tasting really nice, even though my scone-shaping skills were pretty horrendous. Definitely trying this again soon, but in half-recipe size! This is a LOT of rather large scones.

LOL! Nice to hear you tried it. Perhaps because it’s a bakery recipe they didn’t scale it down? Taste is paramount though. Thanks for letting me know.
